My son worked with Mr. DiSalvo off and on for about 9 months. He was always straight forward with his expectations of my son. Scheduling was easy and pricing was transparent. The sessions were 90 minutes/ week both in person and virtually during the Covid pandemic. When we first got in touch with Mr. DiSalvo we were concerned that my son’s PSAT scores were not on the same caliber as his GPA and class weight. Mr. DiSalvo clearly explained his systematic approach and was certain that if my son fully embraced the methodology that his score would improve 200 points. My son is gifted in math. We wanted a tutor who would continue to help him excel. My son is a freshman in double honors Algebra/Geometry and will take Calculus his junior year. He took his first SAT in 7th grade. Michael is a terrific teacher and has tutored my son for 3 years. He is patient, but challenges his students. He is always punctual and his fee is reasonable. We started working with Mike DiSalvo the summer following our daughter’s freshman year. We knew that standardized testing was not her strength and that she would need help in both that math and verbal sections to get her score where SHE wanted it to be. Mike worked patiently with our daughter for over two years and focused on the particular areas where she needed assistance, as well as reinforced those sections where she was excelling. He was patient and he constantly reinforced and encouraged her to show her that she had the ability (which she did) to excel.
Working with Mike made a dramatic improvement on my daughter’s score; She achieved in the 96th percentile, and was admitted to her first choice of school. The key to success was reinforcing the particular areas where she needed help. The large classroom that sort of addressed the needs of everyone was not going to work for us. I really could not recommend anyone more highly. Mike really came through for us test prep.

I hired Michael DiSalvo of A+ tutoring to work with my son who was running out of time to get the score he needed on the ACT. Though we were challenged by using an abbreviated course to get us where we needed to go, Michael was able to get my child to as much as a 12 point increase on practice tests before test day with his techniques and steps. Unfortunately, my son’s calculator did not work on test day and he was shaken, but he still knew the material so thoroughly and the techniques so well that he got the score he needed. I think Michael’s program will work for any hard-working student and I thank Michael for helping my son get into his chosen college with his high quality ACT test prep.
